3. Because growth is God's will.

“Under Christ's control, the whole Body is nourished … and grows as God wants it to grow” (Col. 2:19 GNB).

Making a decision to grow as a church begins with the leadership deciding to grow and modeling it—whether you think you are effective at it or not. People in comeback churches were intentionally trained and personally engaged in the church's outreach efforts.

Prayer was mentioned frequently as part of an effective strategy in the evangelistic efforts of comeback churches. Prayer is not “all we can do” when it comes to evangelism. Prayer is the best thing we can do! It is like launching long-range missiles into enemy territory.
